That front is cleverly constructed to sit off side - I think this is how it is meant to be worn but you could really play with the top - the two panels at the back have a small ribbon of fabric that holds them together and I think you could adjust this so the top fits you to perfection once you decide how you want it to be worn

The fabric is light so though you get a ton of movement when you move it falls fairly close to the body when you are standing still

I believe the fir to be beaver though the technique used with the patchwork causes lots of variations (purposely!) in the fur texture and length so its hard to nail down.
