Ireland, Hiberno Norse Penny Phase III his head and upper bodyIreland, Hiberno Norse Kings, Phase III (1035 60), silver Penny, draped bust left, two pellets before face, cross behind in field, blundered legend surrounding, rev. long voided cross with tri crescent ends, pellet at centre, crude "hand" in two opposing quarters, legend with blundered Dublin mint signature (D&F 24; S. 6132A). Attractively toned, with an excellent portrait, almost extremely fine.
