The yak is lightweight, while warm. The yarn is blended with either nylon or silk. The nylon is great for socks or as a substitute for other fine yarns. The silk in the other blends offers drape and a luxurious feel. Alpaca offers a lovely alternative to mohair for a fuzzy feel. Woodsmoke
