is because on the Series Two models the wiper motor was situated inside the dash area and interefered with the glove box if not modified in this way

Made from lightweight felt and cut to size, this fits into the cavity of the roof before fitting your new headlining and provides increased sound insulation and protection from moisture. Felt will need to be glued into the roof cavity as fitted from factory.
